Post of Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine & Anaesthesia
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to join our forward-looking team
Ninewells Intensive Care Unit is a closed unit with nine beds supporting approximately 400 admissions each year. Other critical care provision on the Ninewells site includes a ten bedded surgical high dependency unit (HDU), a six bedded medical HDU and a four bedded neurosurgical HDU. The unit is well equipped and supported by an excellent Critical Care nursing team, pharmacy and allied health professional colleagues
Ninewells has all medical and surgical specialties onsite ensuring we can provide multidisciplinary expert opinions to the benefit of our patients. The unit actively participates in data collection for SICSAG. Our patient outcomes are consistently good and our SMR is below the Scottish average. The Critical Care service also has a strong track record of involvement in quality improvement, research and multinational projects

You must be registered with the General Medical Council and hold a Licence to Practice.
Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or already in possession of CESR (CP) at date of interview
