Job Purpose
To provide support to the access team within the surgical directorate.
To schedule and monitor out-patient waiting lists to maximise full capacity.
Additional Information Specific to the Role
Scope & Range:
- To assist in the provision of administrative support of internal Waiting List Initiatives, liaising with Out-patient Clinic, RMS, Medical Secretaries and Medical Records Department.
- Respond to telephone enquiries.
- Assist in the provision of administrative support for all external capacity at the Golden Jubilee Hospital as well as any extra activity at the independent sector.
- Assist in the monitoring of all out-patient waiting lists.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist in the administrative aspects of monitoring all waiting lists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- To collate and summarise data extracted from Trakcare & Milan waiting list reporting systems for monitoring purposes, with responsibility for ensuring patients approaching treatment time guarantee (TTG) are brought to the attention of the Access Planning Co-ordinator.
- To assist in providing relevant administrative services with service providers, Medical Secretaries, Medical Records and Information Services Department.
- To assist in achieving NHS Lanarkshire waiting time guarantees in conjunction with all relevant staff.
- To notify and arrange clinic appointments for patients for waiting list initiatives, both written and verbally.
- To provide cross cover for other posts within the Waiting Times Team/Pre-assessment Service during periods of annual/sick/ other leave.
- To ensure stationery supplies are maintained.
