An exciting opportunity exists for a highly dynamic and innovative individual to apply for the above post.
The post holder will work in partnership with the existing multi-disciplinary integrated in-patient and out-patient team and provide specialist knowledge within the In-patient service and out- patient clinics. Working across three hospital sites with a main base in Ninewells, you will provide specialist management for complex pain presentations in patients with acute-on-chronic pain, acute post-operative/post trauma pain while providing multi-disciplinary education and training, contributing to the production of clinical guidelines and protocols and adopt a collaborative approach to promote pain management throughout primary and secondary care. The post holder will be integral to developing and implementing an Integrated Pain Service throughout NHS Tayside.
An enthusiastic individual is required who is confident to use their own initiative, organising and managing a caseload, whilst also able to contribute to a team approach. Applicants will demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development with an interest in the field of pain management, including evidence of teaching in a clinical environment, audit and quality improvement, be qualified to degree level with a previous post-registration experience.
