Due to retirement we currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced RSCN / RN Child to join our team within our paediatric High Dependency Unit (HDU). Our 5 bedded HDU is a level 2 facility caring for children and young people with significant complexities across all specialities. We also are the host of the North of Scotland Neurology MCN providing a video-telemetry service within our HDU facility.


The post holder will co-ordinate and lead a team of staff ensuring care delivery is of the highest standard to our children and their families in partnership with all members of the multi disciplinary team. Whilst this post is for our HDU team, experience in this field is essential. We are seeking an individual with leadership skills promoting best practice within the paediatric-nursing speciality, develop and maintain safe-working environments utilising advanced communication, leadership and management skills.


We invite RSCN / Registered Nurse Child applicants with extensive experience at Band 5 level within an HDU/ITU environment, demonstrating excellent team working skills with ability to work using own initiative. You will be educated to degree level with enhanced leadership and communication skills are essential.  You will demonstrate a confidant, flexible approach with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.


You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the NMC Register
