This is an excellent opportunity for a full time, Band 3 Business Support Assistant/Pay Officer to join the North East Locality working to support the wider Children and Families / School Health Teams.
The post will be based in Bridgeton Health Centre in the North East Locality. The hours will be 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday morning.
The HCSP and the North East Team has a robust support structure with mentoring/ training opportunities provided as well as a robust induction plan as required. This post is required to support the smooth running of administrative systems/Pay Systems for the Health Visiting /School Health Team. You will be expected to provide accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective clerical support within the health visiting/public health nursing service. The Teams have a good balance of skill mix including, Health Visitors, Community Nursery Nurses, Dental Health Support Workers , Administrative support workers and Health Care Support Workers with a dedicated Team leader.
You will be responsible for working in an office environment using and operating office equipment and IT systems, such as SSTS, EESS, PECOS, WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and EMIS web. On a daily basis you will be responsible for the management of North East Locality governance processes, communicating with various services/staff as well as being the main point of contact for absence management calls, associated data relating to annual leave /absence processes whilst maintaining accurate staff lists, taking minutes and supporting meetings and Induction sessions across the North East using robust excel spreadsheets located on the NHSGG&C shared drive and general admin support to the Team Leaders/PDN/Health Visitors where required.
The ability to work on own initiative whilst maintaining discretion and confidentiality is vital as well as part of a team and problem-solving skills is essential. You must be flexible to meet the needs of the service. You should have advanced keyboard skills and office management skills, you should also be proficient in all software systems.
