This post is a 12 Month Fixed Term / Secondment position
Public Health Scotland (PHS) is a new organisation between the Scottish Government and Local Government, working in partnership, to provide leadership to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of the people of Scotland. Public Health Scotland launched on 1st April 2020 with the formal status of a National Special Health Board employing around 1100 people. Public Health Scotland provides authoritative information and services to support people and communities across Scotland. It leads the national response to unforeseen health emergencies and contributes to national and local government policy through its provision of robust data and intelligence.
You will provide strategic content design support across a range of digital projects, contributing to the delivery of Public Health Scotland annual business plans. You will lead and contribute to key projects, and supervise the work of content team members involved in projects.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have proven skills and experience in:
- Leading and planning digital content and user experience across a range of digital products, informed by insights into users’ needs, with a good understanding of user research techniques
- Digital content governance and publishing, working with web Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Using analytics and user feedback to inform continual improvement of digital content and services.
You will also have excellent organisational skills to plan and manage multiple digital content projects concurrently.
Ideally, you will have experience of contributing to innovative digital service design or transformation projects and working as part of project teams using agile methodology.
During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service
