Edinburgh Breast Unit
Breast Care Nurse
Band 6 : 37.5 hours per week Western General Hospital - Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, appropriately experienced and qualified nurse to join the Breast Care Nursing team in the Edinburgh Breast Unit and within St Johns Hospital. Breast Services is a dynamic and exciting specialty and the department provides a high quality, safe and supportive environment in order to care for patients with breast disease (malignancies and non-malignancies), meeting the identified physical and psycho-social needs of the patient). The department provides symptomatic assessment, diagnosis of breast disease through to surgery/specialist plastic surgery, clinical and medical oncology to post treatment surveillance, providing specialist management plan for patients with primary and secondary breast disease.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
