The main purpose of the job is to support the care of the child/young person with Urinary Tract Infection and their family. Providing specialist practical and emotional support to patients. You will have the responsibility to case manage all children/ young people with Urinary Tract Infection within GGCHB. The post holder also has responsibility for providing and coordinating expert knowledge for patient caseload. You will also be responsible for clinic which includes coordination and facilitation of clinic three times per week. Ordering of scans, reviewing results and formatting an individual plan for patient. You will be integral to the coordination of care from diagnosis and throughout treatment process. To work with the multidisciplinary team to develop standards of care and undertake evaluation to monitor the impact of patient care. You will undertake comprehensive bladder assessment including pre and post void bladder scanning, uroflowmetry, urinalysis and referral for diagnostic imaging including renal and bladder ultrasound, abdominal x-ray and DMSA. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Children’s Nurse with the NMC and that you have relevant post registration clinical experience. The shift pattern for this post is to suit the needs of the service.
