The Fife Area-Wide Psychology Service is a large (95wte) service comprising a range of clinical specialties, with extensive involvement in training, research and service development. Close links with Edinburgh, Stirling, Dundee and St. Andrews Universities’ D. Clin.Psych and MSc courses continue and your professional development, CPD and research initiatives will be well supported. 

You will join a team of three highly experienced Clinical Psychologists / Neuropsychologists working in the neurorehabilitation service based in the Sir George Sharp Unit, Cameron Hospital. It is a multidisciplinary inpatient, outpatient and community service comprising medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and dietetics all based at a single site.

This post has been created from monies secured to reconfigure the delivery of services to major trauma patients in Fife. You  will contribute to the general work of the specialty and have a varied caseload drawn from a wide range of neurological conditions. We use and have expertise in a range of approaches (CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Group Analysis, etc) and deliver individual and group therapy.

You will provide specialist clinical neuropsychological assessment, treatment and consultancy. You will also contribute to the evaluation of the service and to the development of evidence based practice as required.  Ideally, you should have experience in neuropsychology and brain injury.

You will also take an active part in the Area Psychology Service, seeking opportunities for research, professional development and contributing to that of others.
