Exciting opportunities have arisen for two Assistant Service Manager posts within the Surgical Directorate at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

One post will cover Clinical Neurosciences while the other post sits within Orthopaedics and Major Trauma.

We plan to interview a pool of candidates who could be appointed to either post. Preferences will be discussed with successful candidates – please indicate on your application whether you wish to be considered for one specific post or both.

Candidates will be qualified to degree level/by experience, have the ambition to pursue a career in NHS management. We would welcome applications from individuals with clinical and/or managerial backgrounds.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress their career across a diverse range of promoted posts, with comprehensive development support available.

Applicants must have a working knowledge of Service Delivery, Staff Management, Finance and Microsoft Office Suite.

The successful candidate will report to the Clinical Service Manager.
