National Services Division (NSD) plans, commissions and performance manages high quality services, programmes and networks for the NHS in Scotland. It facilitates service change across NHS Scotland to ensure consistent, equitable provision of high quality, safe, effective, person centred services to meet the needs of the population of Scotland.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead the design and delivery of a Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Improvement Programme on behalf of Scottish Government and NHS Scotland Boards. The investment of £50M over four years will be overseen by a Programme Board that will invite and scrutinise proposals and oversee work that is undertaken at national, regional and local level and in a community setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience of programme and financial management at national, strategic level and practical application of QI methodologies. A clinical background in a relevant field would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in NSD, Scottish Government, the Perinatal Mental Health National Managed Clinical Network and other stakeholders, including women with lived experience, to deliver an ambitious and challenging range of improvements for women and families affected by perinatal mental ill health.

This is a challenging role that requires excellent skills in leadership and managing change in a complex and dynamic environment.
