An opportunity has arisen for one Band 3 Health Care Support Workers within the Multi- disciplinary Outreach Teams, Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services. Based within the South of the city, you will work under the supervision of our trained nurses, supporting the engagement and retention of vulnerable service users with alcohol and/or drug issues. You will have good communication skills and have a keen desire to work within a Specialist Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. We would welcome applicants with lived experienced with sustained recovery. You will receive training and development to enable you to deliver a range of interventions which include venepuncture, drug toxicology screening, Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) testing, and Blood Bourne Virus (BBV) testing. You will encourage patients to address their own self care needs and daily living requirements. You will facilitate individual and group psychosocial interventions with patients. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
