like you to join the 
Scottish National Audit Programme!

Location either Edinburgh or Glasgow (with travel when required)

Good decisions need to be based on good information. Some decisions affect sales, profits…etc. Decisions in health and social care affect lives.

That’s why the Board Clinical & Protecting Health Directorate of Public Health Scotland exists; to help decision makers make the right decisions for the health and wellbeing of the people of Scotland.  This post will run the new Scottish National Cardiac Programme although your skills may well be better deployed to other audits so don’t let that put you off applying for this exciting opportunity.​​​​​​​

We want you if you...

  • Can lead and influence multiple teams in producing, developing and promoting a national clinical audit.
  • are registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council with experience in clinical audit and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Can provide expert advice and guidance on clinical audit related matters to both internal, external, clinical and non-clinical customers.
  • have the drive to initiate and manage national clinical audit, closing the audit loop and using the results to improve direct patient care.
  • would like to work for an organisation that values the work / life balance and offers opportunity for your development and progression.
  • have work experience in the field of cardiac care/ surgery  then this could be the opportunity for you.
