This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
The job purpose is: To work single handed, or as part of a team - whilst liaising with appropriate members of the Podiatry team in relation to service delivery and patient care - using standard operating procedures and good practice guidelines and understanding treatment outcome. To treat patients; drawing on appropriate skills and knowledge in order to implement individualised care plans for patients previously assessed by a Podiatrist. To assess patients at every visit to ensure no change in vascular, medical or podiatric need, and recognise when signs and symptoms indicate a need to refer the patient back to the podiatrist and ensure a record of care given is made.
