You must have relevant registered nurse experience in the specialty or related specialty with relevant specialist qualifications/post registration training.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate their ability to work at Band 6 level and also demonstrate expert clinical knowledge and skills.  Evidence of on-going professional development, mentorship and teaching required. You will be expected to complete an agreed training pathway to include non-medical prescribing and clinical assessment.

You will use clinical expertise, leadership and management skills to ensure co-ordination of the care of patients with neuroendocrine tumours requiring radionucleide treatment, providing a seamless service for patients and their families across Scotland. In addition, you will deputise for the Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist (Neuroendocrine tumours and Thyroid Cancer) when required. In collaboration with the multi disciplinary team, which includes medical and clinical oncologists, Advanced CNS, Nuclear Medicine staff, Audit Co-ordinator and ward staff will develop a model of care to provide support, assessment and education for this group of patients.  This will include consultant led clinics and pre assessment clinics using established protocols.

This is a 22.5 hour post based at Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre Mon-Fri.
