We are recruiting to a new service in NHS Highland - developing Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner roles based in primary care to work alongside GP’s and other professionals in rural general practice.
We have an exclusive opening for experienced Physiotherapists to join the MSK FCP Physiotherapy Team in NHS Highland. Primarily based in Fort William and the surrounding area of Lochaber, one of the most beautiful and popular locations in the Highlands of Scotland, you will have wider links with the Lochaber Physiotherapy Team.
Situated in the West Highlands of Scotland, Fort William and Lochaber is an extensive rural area. The principal town Fort William lies on the shore of Loch Linnhe below Ben Nevis, Britains highest mountain. The area offers a full range of summer and winter sports from skiing & snowboarding, to downhill mountain biking. On shore or off, activities also include walking and climbing in the mountains or exploring its very long maritime coastline - perfect for fishing or kayaking - not to mention some of the largest areas of fresh water lochs in Scotland. With its majestic glens and wonderful beaches the surrounding area has some of the most stunning scenery in Britain.
Catering for all Lochaber offers a variety of eating options with restaurants, pubs and cafes, including traditional Fish ’n Chip shops. It is host to various events throughout the year with Highland games, music and art festivals , exhibitions and live entertainment with local musicians. It also offers well established primary and Secondary education for families and is renowned for its welcoming Highland spirit.
Applications are invited from physiotherapists who have advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in the assessment , diagnosis and treatment of MSK conditions . You should be able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical care with previous specialist experience in this field. Injection skills and prescribing are part of this role and you will be expected to complete both if you do not have the qualification on application. Job share and part time appplications will be considered.
A full current driving licence and use of car for work purposes is essential.
