To assist the Information Analyst in the development, maintenance and quality of robust data systems and datasets pertaining to Health Improvement programmes and to analyse and report on data relating to Health Improvement programmes, e.g. Tobacco Control by supporting the development, management and exploiting available, and often extensive, datasets. These datasets could be supplied by national agencies, locally generated data and other specifically acquired information/data sources. Complex and detailed statistical analysis will be required to inform decision making within NHS Lanarkshire in relation to Health Improvement especially Tobacco Control.
Highly developed data analysis skills preferably acquired in a clinical environment.
Educated to HND level in an appropriate computing/informatics discipline or demonstrable experience
Excellent general knowledge of PC software including standard operating systems and Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent presentation skills and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Awareness of Quality Improvement methodology.
Able to drive and have a valid driving license as travel to locations across NHSL on a regular basis is required.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a short test.
