Lead Nurse
Royal Hospital for Children
Band 8A – 37.5 hours

An exciting position has become available within the Royal Hospital for Children. With 256 beds the new Children’s hospital provides a large number of specialist services to the West of Scotland and the wider population of Scotland in addition to the full range of secondary care services to the children of Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
The post holder will provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership to a number of wards, and departments. The Lead Nurse will ensure the objectives and quality standards of the following strands of NHS Scotland’s National Quality Strategy and National Nursing and Midwifery Quality Assurance Framework are achieved and any future national initiatives.

Person Centered Care
The Lead Nurse will inspire, motivate and empower their nurses and wider health care teams to provide and continuously improve the delivery of safe, effective and person centred care for our patients and families. The post holder must be a registered nurse with significant ‘paediatric experience in a recognized leadership position. You will have excellent communication and problem solving skills and importantly have a desire to develop and improve service.
