To install, manage, maintain, continuously update and improve the network infrastructure across Lothian to provide users with a secure and reliable communications network for e-mail, secure data storage and clinical and non-clinical applications using complex hardware and software.
The post holder works in a team with more senior members, working on problem resolution to users and provision of third-line technical support to the other support staff in the department to ensure rapid resolution of any more complex technical problems.
The post holder will be expected to deal with local area networking tasks and issues, and to seek guidance and technical support on more challenging networking tasks.
