An opportunity has arisen for a Band 8a Mental Health Nurse for a full time permanent post within Liaison Psychiatry. The service provides patients high quality person centred clinical care delivered through a comprehensive psycho-social assessment and appropriate follow up intervention. You will be responsible for the Liaison Psychiatry service area including all budget and staff resources.
The successful candidate will join an established team of Liaison Mental Health Nursing staff to lead the delivery of a 7 day service to patients who have been admitted to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. For this post, we are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner to join and be a leader within the service.
You will also ensure the clinical contribution to service delivery is of the highest quality and is one that enhances the persons experience through the provision of trauma informed, safe, effective, efficient, timely, equitable and person-centred care. Candidates will be expected to have experience of leading change within a multi-disciplinary environment and will have demonstrated a collaborative approach as a leader. Excellent communication and analytical skills will be essential.
Extensive post registration experience is essential and previous experience working either in a liaison psychiatry, mental health assessment service or crisis setting is desirable.
