We are seeking enthusiastic and proactive individuals to work with the hospital electronic prescribing and medicines administration (HEPMA) Programme Team to design, build, implement and support the Board-wide electronic prescribing and administration system.

You will contribute in the implementation of HEPMA and its associated interfaces using best practice technical skills and knowledge, to provide NHSGGC’s hospital teams with the best possible tool for the job. You will deliver training to all levels of healthcare staff in the use of the HEPMA Programme using a variety of training methods and provide both proactive and responsive support.

Communication is an essential key element to this post and you will demonstrate excellent communication skills; working with a wide variety of staff and be able to communicate complex information and ensure understanding.  You will be required to travel to and work in locations across the GGC Board area and be available for shift patterns: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am (overnight shift may eventually be remote availability).

Experience

Applicants will be educated to diploma or degree level, or have equivalent experience, will have demonstrable experience of working in an application support function, with proven ability of leading or managing or training staff who have diverse skills and abilities.

You should be proficient in the role of IT support, and service delivery management with exceptional problem solving abilities and firm logical grounding.

Preferably qualified in ITIL IT Service Management, you will work with eHealth, clinical and managerial colleagues to ensure that the new system is robust, fit for purpose and supportable. Experience in working in a healthcare environment would beneficial.  The shift pattern for this post is 5 * 8 hour shifts per week. Mainly 07:00-15:00 or 15:00-23:00, including weekends. Occasional 23:00-07:00 shifts providing remote support.


This is a Fixed Term post for 18 months.
