Housekeeper - Older People and Stroke

The main function of the post includes co-ordinating cleaning, catering and minor maintenance together with other specified tasks as directed by the senior charge nurse/deputy to ensure a safe environment. You will be expected to work as part of the ward team, to be responsible for delivery of a wide range of activities to support the ward team by the maintenance of high quality environment for patients and visitors.  You will work within the ward team, to ensure that patient comfort is maintained at all times.  You will respond to patient concerns about ward support services (cleaning, catering, maintenance, environment) and act appropriately to resolve or correct any issues that arise and assist clinical teams in ensuring the environment for care is maintained to a high standard. You should have basic computer and word processing skills and organisation/administration skills along with effective communication skills.  The shift pattern for this post is 5 days working 4 hours a day.

This is a Fixed term post  for 6 months.
