The Scotland Deanery are looking to recruit to the role of Associate Postgraduate Dean: Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) Lead.  This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for high quality education, allowing you to help and influence the deanery in achieving its ambition of supporting all trainees to achieve their full potential, especially those with protected characteristics.

The EDI Lead will collaborate with stakeholders both internal and external to NES to support the delivery of NES policy into practice, and further work already started to tackle differential attainment. The EDI Lead will support and be supported by all Postgraduate Deans, influencing new interventions and promoting change and evaluating progress.

The APGD should be a Consultant, General Practitioner or Career Grade Doctor and will be accountable to the Postgraduate Dean. He or she may also combine the role with other senior medical educator roles.
