Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary Range: Band 5: £25,100 - £31,649 Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,895 per annum

plus Relocation Assistant of up to £8,000

We have all been living in challenging times throughout 2020 but as we remobilise services out of the Pandemic we are looking for additional staff to join us in order to continue to develop our community based services, supporting the ongoing shifting of the balance of care to community settings.


As a Community nurse based on mainland Shetland you will be part of the wider team of District Nurses who lead care for individuals throughout Shetland.  District Nursing teams are part of a multi-disciplinary team based at our 10 Health Centres located throughout the Isles.  Close working exists with social care partners and the District Nursing workforce provide an in reach service to all residential care homes who care for individuals with a range of highly complex conditions.

There is also currently a vacant post on the most Northerly Island of Unst.

Nursing students have clinical placements across all of the Community Nursing service.


We also have Band 5 community nurse posts available, this is open to experience community nurses or newly qualified nurses.
