Registered General Nurse - Major Trauma Ward

12 Bedded Specialist Ward
The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh has been designated one of the four Major Trauma Centres in Scotland. We are looking to appoint passionate and highly motivated Nurses to support the development of the Major Trauma ward.
The ward will consist of 12 beds incorporating 4 enhanced care beds, including multiple specialities - Orthopaedics, Surgical and Cardiothoracic.
Skills & Experience
This is an evolving and dynamic role for which successful candidates will demonstrate advanced skills, knowledge and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires the ability to work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent service and care to patients. You will work closely with the Major Trauma Consultants, as well as an Advanced Allied Health Professions team including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Psychological services.
The minimum requirement for the post is to be a Registered Nurse with significant experience within Emergency Medicine, any Acute Surgical specialty or Critical Care.
Applicants will have the ability to lead others, think strategically and communicate effectively; they will demonstrate how they will work collaboratively, influencing decisions and outcomes, and be committed to improving care in a complex healthcare organisation.
