NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde are looking to recruit a Telecoms Technical Specialist to join the E-Health Telecoms Team. This is an exciting new role which will enhance and develop the technical expertise within the current telephony team. You will provide specialist technical knowledge for the Telecoms team and will have in depth knowledge of Avaya Communication Manager and Contact Centre solutions within the Avaya portfolio of products.
You will work collaboratively with the team and other key IT staff to provide advice and proactive support to develop and enhance the technologies available and to offer projects support and guidance to meet changing demands. You should be an excellent communicator with significant previous demonstrable experience in a telecoms technical role. You will mentor and train other staff within the team to grow and develop appropriate knowledge of the Avaya solution to increase the team’s ability to manage our technology in house and to make best use of our feature rich platform to meet customer demands in a changing workplace. You should have knowledge and expertise across one or more specialised areas, acquired through degree level or equivalent qualification/experience plus additional managerial knowledge and significant experience of working in a user support function within an IT department, with proven ability of managing staff who have diverse skills and abilities. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
