Glasgow City Health & Social Care Partnership are recruiting for a Service Manager in Addictions, North East Locality (Temporary for up to 18 months). This post manages the provision of community / locality alcohol and drugs treatment and care for young people and adults with significant substance misuse problems. The post holder will lead a multi-disciplinary team of health and social care professionals in the delivery of accessible high quality, evidence based and innovative services as part of a wider network of health and social work provision in the locality. Managing a large team of senior posts in the field of nursing, social care, medicine and AHP and contributing to the city wide network of alcohol and drug services in line with the policies and requirements of both the NHS and Council and in pursuance of the agreed city strategy determined by the Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (ADP). The post monitors and co-ordinates the work of services purchased by the NHS and / or Council from the voluntary and independent sector in line with agreed organisational policies. Applicants must be educated to a degree level or professional equivalent (includes alcohol and drug related qualifications) with extensive Management experience, a management qualification is desirable. This is an integrated position as part of the Glasgow City Health & Social Care Partnership. Applications are invited from current employees of Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The successful applicant will be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either GCC or NHS depending on current employer.
