A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Obstetric Sonographer to work within the maternity scan department at University Hospital Wishaw.
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Obstetric Sonographer to join our friendly team of Sonographers and Consultants.
Main duties and responsibilities:
•Must be a qualified Obstetric Sonographer holding at least a Post Graduate Certificate in Obstetric Ultrasound.
•Must be HCPC or NMC registered.
•Be able to conduct and carry out in a confident, competent manner early pregnancy scans, dating scans, CUBS, fetal anomaly sans, growth scans, cervical length scans, placental scans and all dopplers in line with departmental protocol.
•Liaise with the multidisciplinary team including Consultants, midwives and office personnel as well as Sonographers.
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a strong patient-centred approach.
Based mainly at University Hospital Wishaw however will need to cover clinics within the day bed unit at Airdrie Health Centre and University Hospital Hairmyres.
