We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to take on the exciting role of the senior nurse within the Macmillan Suite. This department covers Oncology clinics and Chemotherapy suite. The postholder is also responsible for the Haematology outpatient clinic and plans are progressing for relocation into a purpose built combined unit. It is essential that you have demonstrable strong leadership skills to meet the requirements of this busy outpatient environment and to take forward and deliver on the Quality agenda.
Engagement with patients, relatives, and the staff team is a vital part of the Senior Charge Nurse role, leading by example and promoting a supportive and compassionate, caring culture.
The successful candidate will be required to create a culture of continuous improvement where the patient is at the heart of the care we deliver. We will require you to be a first level registered nurse, with extensive experience in cancer nursing, educated to degree level or equivalent, and have excellent communication skills.

Raigmore Hospital is the principal District General Hospital of the Highlands with 454 beds and a catchment area of almost 10,000 square miles covering the entire Scottish Highlands with a population of approx. 300,000. The hospital covers all specialties and is a training hospital for nursing, medical and AHP staff in association with Stirling, Aberdeen and Dundee Universities. It is a Regional Cancer Centre and is sited on a campus along with the innovative Centre for Health Science. Outreach services are provided from this District General Hospital in Inverness to many sites across Northern Highlands and to both the Western Isles and Orkney.
