An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for the permanent post of Lead Nurse for Emergency Care and Medical Specialties within Inverclyde Royal Hospital. You will be responsible for a large team of registered and unregistered nursing staff working within inpatient wards and Nurse Specialist posts. The clinical specialties include but are not limited to Cardiology, Endocrinology, Respiratory and General Medicine. You will become part of a large dynamic service and team with a clear focus on patient experience being a main driver within your role. You will be expected to lead your teams with achieving and sustaining excellence in care aligned to both the national, organisation and patient experience objectives. You should be able to demonstrate creativity and innovation within this role with a clear focus on quality improvement and strategic thinking to support the team and service in response to both scheduled and unscheduled care. Excellent communication, leadership and managerial skills are essential. You will have professional and operational responsibilities and report to both the Service Senior Management team and Sector Chief Nurse. You should have significant post registration experience and demonstrate working within a current Senior Charge Nurse role or equivalent Band 7 role and have led a team. Experience of working within an acute care setting is essential. As holding current full professional registration is an essential requirement for the post, candidates who do not complete the professional registration section of the application form or who do not hold current full registration will not be considered for short listing.
