An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 7 Clinical Lead Physiotherapist to work within the Physical Disability Rehabilitation Unit (PDRU) at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.  This post has been created as part of the major trauma pathway to develop level 2 rehabilitation services.  The unit is a regional resource providing specialist multidisciplinary rehabilitation for neurologically impaired and major trauma patients.

The unit currently has a team of physiotherapists working with both in-patients and those attending for outpatient rehabilitation. You will provide clinical leadership of this team alongside their own clinical caseload.  The role will also incorporate the development of a timely and smooth pathway for patients from the major trauma ward to PDRU. 

You must have a specialist interest in major trauma and neurological rehabilitation, where you will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and will be expected to contribute to the development of the both the physiotherapy service and the wider rehabilitation medicine service. 

You should have relevant post graduate experience working as a Band 6 Physiotherapist within inpatient rehabilitation.

Applicants should have a Degree in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration.
