We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking nurse who enjoys working as part of a team. You will require excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. An active interest in training and quality assurance would also be beneficial. Within your role you will contribute to the overall management and smooth running of whole blood and blood component sessions ensuring donors feel welcome, comfortable and valued. You will be required to undertake venepuncture and medical selection duties.
The position is based in Aberdeen; however extensive travel throughout the region is required. You must be flexible, and willing to work variable hours. Hours will include occasional Sundays and late evenings.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Candidates must have current NMC registration at the time of applying.
