NHS Scotland Assure is a suite of new and exciting services hosted by NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) with the aim to improve the management of risks associated with major healthcare construction projects across NHS Scotland. Using a multi-disciplinary team with subject matter experts in the fields of infection prevention and control, hard and soft facilities and building management it will have oversight for the design, construction, and maintenance of major infrastructure developments within the NHS. It will work closely with a range of senior clinical and technical stakeholders across NHS Scotland and Scottish Government. It will act as the quality management system for the healthcare built environment. NHS Scotland Assure will strengthen infection prevention and control in the built environment and play a crucial guidance role regarding incidents and outbreaks across health and social care.
To support this, we are now looking for an inspirational leader as the Director of NHS Scotland Assure.
This role will lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of NHS Scotland Assure delivering across an ambitious and wide-ranging programme. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the collective leadership of antimicrobial resistance and healthcare associated infection services as well as a range of professional facilities, engineering, construction and environmental services.
You will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and a Masters or Post Graduate qualification would be advantageous. In addition, you will have a proven leadership ability at a senior management level in a multidisciplinary environment over a significant number of years. You will have the ability to transform strategy, focusing on continually improving outcomes for customers, patients and other stakeholders. You should have the ability to build effective relationships with staff, and stakeholders, while working effectively as a team member with the ability to lead the team with tenacity to deliver shared goals.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check.
