SPECIALTY DOCTOR IN COMMUNITY PAEDIATRICS
Based at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness
Part time - 5 PAs/20 Hours per Week
Fixed term for 6 Months

Applications are invited for the post of Speciality Doctor which is available from now. The position is based within Morven House on the Raigmore Hospital campus. We are a small and committed community paediatric team based in the beautiful Highlands region of Scotland. As a team we consist of 5 community paediatric consultants (4.5 WTE), 7 Associate specialists and 1 ADHD specialist nurse. We have close working relationships with CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and allied health professional colleagues. CAMHS, acute paediatrics and community paediatric outpatients and offices are all co-located at the Birnie Centre/Morven House within Raigmore Hospital campus. Following departmental reconfiguration, we are establishing a new system for AHP (Allied Health Professional) presence within the department at all times to ensure that a close, multi-disciplinary working relationship and ethos is central to the delivery of our paediatric services. We also have an excellent in-house administrative team.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate clinical experience and competence working within the specialist area of community paediatrics for a period of at least 2 years although shorter periods of clinical work would be considered depending on the quality of this experience.
