NHS 24 is looking to recruit a Head of ICT Operations. This is a Senior Manager that will be responsible for the management of commercial relationships with contractors including the decision making, contracting and oversight related to the third party supplier portfolio. The Head of ICT Operations will assure and guide the development of the Technology Strategy and support the development and delivery of the NHS 24 overall strategy. Provide strategic technology input in support of national policy and ensure this is encompassed within the development and delivery of NHS 24’s national services and initiatives in close partnership with Scottish Government, NHS Scotland Health Boards and other key bodies.
Accountable for the development and implementation of policies and processes related to operational management and for all system users across NHS 24, vendor engagement and performance management and change within the NHS 24 Business Systems and broader infrastructure.
This role will provide professional leadership and guidance for infrastructure, telephony, application delivery and continuous improvement services/functions and teams within NHS 24, ensuring that highly effective Technology strategies and all NHS 24 technology services, are scoped, developed and delivered to support a 24-hour national telehealth/digital health service across the whole of Scotland as part of NHS Scotland.
As the Head of ICT Operations, you will be dynamic, enthusiastic and approachable and will be educated to MSP or Masters Level or equivalent experience. A demonstrable track record of success in a senior manager position within a complex operations environment is essential.
