We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and progressive Obstetrics and Gynaecology service in Ayrshire to cover a period of maternity leave. The post is predominantly Obstetric with a lead role in the multiple pregnancy service. We see the successful candidate as an individual with leadership skills who will engage with and help develop our service, specifically with respect to quality improvement and safety.
Applicants must hold full GMC registration with a License to Practice and must be on the Specialist Register, or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT on the date of interview. RCOG ATSM qualifications (or equivalent experience) in Advanced Labour Ward Practice and High Risk Pregnancy are essential.
The terms and conditions of service are those determined by the new Consultant contract (Scotland 2004) and the post offers a 10 programmed activity basis.
