An opportunity has arisen at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for a senior registered nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their management and clinical skills in a Charge Nurse position.
The candidate should have a commitment to acute medicine, patient centred care and supporting effective team working. The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, supporting the Senior Charge Nurses and the current Charge Nurse team in driving forward change within AU1. You will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of the organisation's objectives. You must have post registration experience within an acute clinical setting and be able to demonstrate leadership knowledge and awareness. They must understand the complexities of caring for individuals with acute and chronic medical illnesses.
AU1 currently consists of 36 inpatient beds and is functioning as a hybrid ward with a red zone (covid) and an amber zone. This is a temporary change to allow us to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic. As a Charge Nurse you will be expected to have an overview of the ward and support with capacity and flow.
