We are looking for a confident and organised individual to join the Public Health Department based in Cameron House, Windygates.

You will also be required to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the consultant in public health and other members of the screening team.  Skills and competencies associated with previous experience to a high level within a secretarial post are essential. You will also provide a comprehensive administrative service at designated local, Fife wide, regional & national meetings which will include minute taking.  Advanced skills in preparing reports and presentations will be required.  

You will be required to support the Consultant during their periods of on-call – evenings and weekends.

You will provide professional personal assistance to the Consultant in Public Health with dietary support and personal care i.e., assist with preparation of lunch when required e.g., microwaving lunch, preparation of beverages and helping the Consultant to maintain their appearance throughout the working day.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to use your own initiative and work as part of a wider team are essential. The aptitude to work to strict deadlines, under pressure with minimal supervision is also required.  

You should be educated to HND level or have equivalent experience.  Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages is essential.  Experience gained in a health care setting would be advantageous.
