An opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and innovative individuals to join the multidisciplinary team within the operating departments in NHS Tayside. The post holder will work collaboratively to promote the delivery of evidence based patient care.
The successful applicant will be based within West Block Theatres however you may be required to vary your workplace within the area covered by NHS Taysid.
Applicants must have good communication skills and demonstrate the ability to assess, plan and implement care for perioperative patients.
We are committed to investing in the continuing professional development of our staff and currently support staff to complete degree level modules with the University of Dundee or Edinburgh Napier University (dependant on area of practice).
You will play an important part in the patient’s journey, working within the operating department and assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) & Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) in the care and treatment of patients undergoing surgical procedures. Health care experience would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential qualities for this post.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work are: 37.5 hours with a commitment to day / night rotation and on call if required by clinical area.
