Drug Death Information Analyst
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Fixed Term/Secondment for 18 months
Agenda for Change Band 6 - £32,118 - £39,560 per annum
We require a motivated individual to provide analysis and reporting in relation to drug deaths in Tayside, drawing together complex information including post mortem reports, clinical histories and service engagement to provide evidence of epidemiology and experiences of people with problematic substance use. The post holder will provide specialist Public Health support that will inform services and partner agencies of potential opportunities to improve outcomes for this population.
You must have well developed interpersonal skills and strong critical assessment skills - to be able to compare and contrast different viewpoints. You must also be:
- Innovative and self-motivated, with a positive constructive attitude.
- Practical and results focused.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing demands/workload.
- Willing to learn – to actively seek and digest information.
You must be able to demonstrate a strong recent track record in data analysis and reporting, experience in information retrieval and management, with knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis. Experience of effective negotiating and influencing skills in order to support, facilitate and maintain effective partnership working with colleagues representing different organisational cultures and agendas is essential.
You will have gained this specialist knowledge and experience of epidemiological, analytical, and statistical techniques and procedures through a degree level qualification, or equivalent experience. You must be able to demonstrate additional relevant specialist knowledge acquired through training and relevant experience to postgraduate degree level, or equivalent.
The ability to travel throughout Tayside is required for the post.
