As a Speech and Language Locality Lead based at University Hospital Crosshouse you will provide clinical and managerial leadership as well as service development for the acute and community services ensuring a person-centered, evidenced based service for adults in East Ayrshire. You will manage a highly specialist complex caseload, as well as balancing non-clinical managerial tasks. 

You will be an excellent communicator, thrive on working in a fast paced environment, have excellent proven clinical, organisational and people management skills and considerable experience of multidisciplinary collaboration, service development and transformation. 
It is essential that you hold a University Degree or equivalent (3 years ordinary degree/4 year’s Honours degree), Certificate to practice from HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) and Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (desirable).

You require an advanced dysphagia qualification and video fluoroscopy experience in addition to significant clinical experience working across medical specialities in particular acute stroke and critical care.  

You will be a highly skilled practitioner with extensive clinical experience and experience of line management, clinical leadership and quality improvement are desirable.
You will be given the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills and will have access to recognized, evidence based training programmes and well as local training opportunities. Regular support and supervision and opportunities to enhance skills will be provided in line with Turas. 

A Full driving licence is required.
