Post: Consultant in Emergency Medicine
Post Location: University Hospital Hairmyres
University Hospital Hairmyres, is offering an exciting opportunity for Consultants to join our friendly, forward thinking and motivated Emergency Medicine Consultant team.
We have an excellent multi-disciplinary team consisting of Specialist Trainees, General Practitioners, Junior Doctors, as well as Physicians Assistants, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Minor Injury Nurses.
UHH Emergency Department sees in excess of 65000 patients per year across Majors, Minors and Resus. Approximately 20% of the patients are children.
UHH Emergency Department works closely with all inpatient specialties. It is co-located with the Medical and Surgical Assessment Unit and in addition hosts the following regional services – Emergency Response Centre, Primary Percutaneous Cardiac Intervention, Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery and Stroke Thrombolysis.
UHH ED works closely with University of Glasgow and other acute sites across NHS Lanarkshire.
