We are seeking an individual to join our Older People Service in Glasgow Royal Infirmary. You should have excellent communication and organisational skills and who can excel in a busy working environment. You will assist registered nursing staff in the delivery of a range of patient care procedures and assist patients with activities of daily living ensuring basic nursing care needs are met. Where appropriate you will assist other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care. You will display an empathetic approach to patients' carers and relatives and refer them to the registered nurse for any questions they may have on the patients' condition or for any suggestions or complaints that they wish to raise. Previous experience within an acute hospital setting would be preferable but is not essential. The post is 34.5 hours per week, 11.5 hour shifts and day shift/night shift rotation.
