A rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced nurse to join the West of Scotland Renal Transplant Team. Your role will primarily be as a Living Donor Transplant Coordinator but will also include exposure to all aspects of kidney donation and transplantation.
The Living Donor Transplant Programme has expanded significantly over the last few years and continues to do so. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team with vision to drive change to improve the patient journey. The role includes: collaborative working with the multidisciplinary team, managing your own case load of potential donors, providing holistic care as you guide them through the assessment process, lifelong donor follow up, data collection for local and national audit. Duties will also include participation in the Out of Hours On Call rota, including nights and weekends, which involves coordination of Kidney Offers via the national deceased donor waiting list.
Essential qualifications: It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, have evidence of continuing professional development and be educated to at least degree level or working towards. You should also have substantial post registration experience.
Desirable qualifications: A genuine interest and passion for renal medicine / transplantation.
This is a full time post Monday – Friday, including out of hours on call overnight and at weekends.
