Outpatients


Leith Community Treatment Centre is a modern healthcare facility in the heart of Leith. We support the delivery of a comprehensive range of primary, community and acute health care services.

 

Due to an expansion in services, we are now welcoming applications from newly qualified and experienced Registered General Nurses to join our OPD.

 

We support a variety of adult and paediatric specialties including Endoscopy. Minor Surgery, Cryotherapy, Respiratory, Cardiology, Diabetic, Chronic Pain and are looking for good team workers, who can provide compassionate and high quality person centred care.

 

Duties will include:     Working within the Endoscopy area, admitting patients, discharging patients and    

                                   assisting  Endoscopist in the procedure room.

 

                                   Assisting surgeon performing Minor Surgery.

 

                                   Administering Liquid Nitrogen for Cryotherapy treatment

 

                                   All duties relating to various Consultant clinics.

 

The team is committed to the delivery of excellent person centred care and all staff  are offered  opportunities for continuing professional  development .

 

 

Shift patterns  flexible Monday – Friday 8.00 – 5.30pm.

 

Successful candidates will be expected to undertake onsite training and achieve relevant competencies within a reasonable time frame.

Older People's Rehab & Assessment Unit (OPRA)

Due to the retirement of 2 long serving members of staff, the Older People’s Rehabilitation and Assessment Unit (OPRA) at Leith Community Treatment Centre is looking to recruit 2 part time Staff Nurses (Band 5).

This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and forward looking multi-disciplinary team which works closely together and with a range of community teams and agencies. We provide a rapid holistic assessment and rehab for older people. We have strong links with the North East Hub and Cluster Social Work and OT teams.

The successful candidates will be responsible for a caseload of patients who they will manage from admission to discharge.

The roles available are:

Band 5 24 hrs Monday –Thursday. 9-15:30

Band 5 14 hours Monday and Friday. 9-15:30
