Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time (40 hours per week) post based at the Western General Hospital (WGH).   The post is permanent however applications from doctors who plan to subsequently apply for higher training may also be considered.

The Department of Psychological Medicine provides a liaison psychiatry service to in-patients and out-patients attending the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. This new specialty doctor post has been developed to support the work of the department. The post is well supervised and is suitable for doctors with three or more years of psychiatric experience in psychiatry.    Supervision of attached junior doctors is an important part of the role along with involvement in departmental teaching, including of undergraduates and involvement in audit and quality improvement. Working hours are from 9am to 5pm Monday-Friday.
