An opportunity has arisen for a friendly, motivated and committed individual to join our dedicated team.
Practice make-up
We currently have a practice list size of 8500 patients. Our friendly practice team consists of 7 GP Partner, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 pharmacist and 1pharmacist technicians, Our team is complemented by our flexible HCA, and supportive practice based CPN and Physio. We are proud of our very proactive and supportive management and admin team. Daily protected breaks and our lovely staff mean that our integrated coffee room is generally filled with laughter (and often homemade cake).
Training practice
We are an established training practice who enjoy supporting GP Registrars and medical students in their professional development. Currently we have an ST1 working with us and an ST3 will join us in the summer.
General Ethos
As all doctors here are partners, we have a democratic approach which allows each doctor to pursue individual interests while all rowing in the same direction. This means we all have a vested interest in protecting not only ourselves but each other from the difficulties seen throughout the NHS.
Practice development
As an innovative practice we embraced online e-consultations last year, the first practice in west Lothian to develop this. This has helped us through the changes which covid has needed and we have now embraced video consultations to protect both ourselves and our patients.
Our teamwork and passion for positive change has meant that we are confident of our ability to develop our practice to thrive during and following the current events.
Prior to this we had drug clinics, minor ops, baby clinics and we are keen to take on individuals who are keen to develop a special interest as well as those who want to use that energy to excel at General Practice.
Finances and leave
We have a modern, well equipped premise which we lease meaning there is no property buy-in. You will have 8 weeks annual leave and may be eligible for Golden Hello Payment. We also have very competitive sick leave and mat/pat leave policies.
