SENIOR CHARGE NURSE – BAND 7

Full Time / Permanent

Salary Scale £39,693 - £46,467 per annum


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our team to lead the Surgical High Dependency Unit.

Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, an ability to adapt to changing circumstances and a flexible approach to work.  

It is essential that you have demonstrable leadership skills to meet the requirements of this busy environment and to take forward and deliver on the Quality agenda.  Engagement with patients, relatives, and the staff team is a vital part of the Senior Charge Nurse role, leading by example and promoting a supportive and compassionate, caring culture.

The successful candidate will be required to create a culture of continuous improvement where the patient is at the heart of the care we deliver. 

We will require you to be a first level registered nurse, educated to degree level or equivalent, and have excellent communication skills.   You  will  also  be able to  demonstrate significant experience  in critical care at least to Band 6 level.
