Personal Assistant (Health Protection Team)

Salary Scale: £22,927 to £25,223 p.a.



We wish to appoint an experienced PA to support the work of consultants and senior professionals within the public health directorate.


Duties will include minute taking, diary management and assisting in the organisation of the Consultants’/senior professional workload.  The post holder will act as a point of contact for the Directorate in relation to routine public health enquiries relating to areas of health protection.


The applicant must demonstrate the ability to work proactively, to manage their own workload and to exercise judgment when dealing with senior managers, clinicians, staff and external contacts.


Applicants should be educated to HNC/HND level with significant administrative/ secretarial experience preferably in an NHS setting, or have considerable relevant administrative/secretarial experience in the NHS or similar working environment.


The post holder must have excellent minute taking skills and experience, and IT knowledge, with specific experience in the use of Word, PowerPoint and Excel software packages.


We require the post holder to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support five days a week; flexi-time is offered.  Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week.  You will be required to liaise with PA colleagues to ensure the Health Protection office is covered 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
