Accountancy Assistant, Kirklands - 37.5 hrs - Fixed Term until 31/05/2020.

The Accountancy Assistant role is to assist within the finance team providing information and support in relation to Research and Development activities, enabling them to achieve economic and efficient use of R&D income and to provide support to the Acute Management Accounts teams.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job

•  HNC or equivalent experience in an administrative or finance role.

•  Understanding of accounting procedures, including knowledge of Standing Financial Instructions

•  Competent IT skills with working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing packages. Practical experience in the utilisation of modern financial software is desirable.

•  Ability to analyse, interpret and present detailed accounting information.

•  Good planning, organisational and problem solving skills,

Good communications skills and the ability to communicate financial information to non- financial managers.
